Hodgepodge Valentine

This is one of my "hodgepodge" cards which is basically just leftover pieces from other projects that were left on my desk.  I kind of like how it turned out and it's good timing for a Valentine card post. <3 Happy Valentine's Day!

Quick Tip Tutorial:  I punched the hearts out of real red cardstock then I colored them with copic markers and added some white dots and dashes for highlights.

all supplies are SU! except for the stitched circle is MFT and the black glitter washi tape is from M's.  Oh and copics markers.

Just my Type

I really like the Just my Type stamp set, lots of cute sentiments to "type" with the typewriter.  The "love" is part of the Big Heart die set and both the die set and Just my Type stamp set are retiring soon.  Here's a little peek on the inside too.
Stamps: Just my Type, Mad for Plaid
Ink: Versamark, Stazon Black, Cherry
Paper: Cherry, Onyx, Vanilla, Sleepy Hallow
Dies: Big Heart, Heart Trio
Schtuff: White EP, Heat Gun,

You Rock my World!

I combined the "Greetings Earthling" spaceship with the "Rock Star" sentiment for this fun ROCKET card. For the moon I sponged on Seattle & Slate ink and used a stylus to make craters.  And for the stars I sprayed the black card stock with Stardust Finishing Spray, it's much more glimmery (yep...new word) in real life

Stamps: Greetings Earthing, Rock Star
Ink: Memento Black, Seattle, Slate
Paper: Lime, Onyx, Ocean, Seattle, Sugar
Dies: Circles
Schtuff: Copics B04, YR09, YR14, YG11, YG17, Stardust Spray, Crystal Glaze

Valentine Treat Bag "Envelope"

This little Valentine "envelope" was quick & easy to make.  I cut the doily and glued it on the front of the bag then glued only the bottom portion of the heart on top of the doily and simply folded the back of the bag over and tucked it behind the heart. Add your sentiment and a Twinkle heart and it's done.  I also put a mini "love note" on the inside but of course you could use it to hold a treat as well.

Stamps: Sending my Love
Ink: Cherry
Paper: Cherry
Dies: Heart Trio
Schtuff: Doily, Diagonal Onyx Stripe Treat Bags, Heart Twinkles

LOVE Modified Gate Fold

This is an easy modified gate fold, fold.  Card stock is cut 11 x 4 1/4 and scored at 2 & 7 1/2.  Be sure to use your bone folder for crisp scores to help the flaps to stay closed.  I used the positive "Love" die cut on the front and the left over negative piece on the bottom inside flap.
Stamps: Script Background
Ink: Cherry
Paper: Candy Cane, Onyx Polka Dot, Cherry, Onyx
Dies: Big Heart Set

I love our Grunged Sunrays smallerish background stamp...smallerish NEW WORD! I've seen so many creative ideas with it...not so sure this one is "creative" but I think it gave my card just the right amount of background needed.

Valentine Hugs Treat Box

You can't ever have enough Valentine treat ideas can ya?!  Here's another one made with the Candy Box die.  And the box will still close even with the heart on the flap so you can secure your treats inside.  Or you can leave it open and use it for a gift card holder.  (note: a gift card will not fit with the top closed).

Paper: Cherry, Cherry Polka Dot, Vanilla
Dies: Small Bow, Heart Trio, Ticket, Candy Box

Batty for my Valentine

I always like to find ways to use stamp sets in unconventional ways.  Come to think of it this Valentine card could be used for either occasion.  Perhaps a green or purple heart for Halloween maybe...?

Paper: Sugar, Onyx Petite Polka Dot, Seattle Pinstripe

Hershey's Hugs & Kisses

Who says Halloween sets are only seasonal...here I go again using another Halloween set in a non-Halloweenie way. I used the "KISSES" portion of the "candy corn kisses" stamp and embossed in silver on French Roast card stock. The Fry Box was cut from French Roast card stock and lined with Winter Sky. The faux Hershey kisses are Heart Trio dies cut out of Shimmer Silver and just turned the upside down and tucked in. We made the card at my "Love is in the Air" workshop last week and the fry box was a door prize :o)

Stamps: Candy Corn Kisses, Mad for Plaid, Sending my Love
Ink: French Roast, Versamark, Eucalyptus
Paper: Shimmer Silver, French Roast, Cocoa, Winter Sky, Sugar
Dies:  Fry Box, Heart Trio
Schtuff: French Roast Twill, Silver Embossing Powder

Hearts a Flutter

I started out wanting to create a winged heart of some sort but I ended up with this instead.  It's not what I originally intended but I kind of like how it turned out any way.

Ink: Cherry

Dies: Big Heart, Heart Trio, Small Bow die

Conversation Hearts for Valentine's Day

I think our Amuse Studio Candy Box Die set is my favorite box die ever.  Not just because of all the accessory dies that come with it but because depending on where you add the adhesive you can make it open long ways as it is here or short ways (like in this post).

Stamps: Sending my Love, That's the Ticket, Essential Greetings
Ink: Grapefruit, Cocoa, Memento Cocoa
Paper: Grapefruit Petite Polka Dot, Cocoa, Vanilla, Sugar
Dies: Candy Box, Ticket Stubs, Holiday Tags, Small Bow
Schtuff: Blush Baker's Cording, Valentine Washi Tape Collection, 1x8 Cell Bag, conversation hearts candy

Love is in the Air Skyline

One of the many cool things about Amuse Studio card stock is that one side is colored and the other side is white which allows for lots of creative options. For my "Love is in the Air" skyline card I folded Winter Sky card stock with the color/blue side toward the inside.  Then I stamped the building image on the front of the card (the white side) with Seattle ink.  I hand cut around the tops of the buildings leaving the left fold/score in tact.  Then I stamped the buildings again with black ink on scrap of Seattle & Pebble card stock, cut them out and added them with 3-D foam for some dimension.  I also used the edge of my black Tombow marker to outline the building edges so they would pop more.
Stamps: Love is in the Air
Ink: Seattle, Stazon Black
Paper: Winter Sky, Seattle, Pebble, Cherry, Sugar
Dies: Silver Lining Clouds, Heart Trio
Schtuff: Tombow Onyx Marker, 3-D Foam
