Here is another version of my "Christmas is in the Air" post from a couple of weeks ago. I just sponged Eucalyptus ink onto sugar card stock for the sky and paper pieced the buildings for a quick holiday card.  There's only 6 more days to snatch up the great holiday stamp set deals at 40% off don't miss out, the sale ends on 8/31/14.

Christmas is in the Air

I did a workshop last week and highlighted a few sets that are 40% off right now during the a muse studio "Everyday is a Holiday" sale.  In the spirit of my "Halloccasions" cards we made this Christmas card using a Valentine set (Love is in the Air), and we made a get well card using a Christmas set (Hark) and we also made a masculine birthday card using a Halloween set (Nevermore) which is a true "Halloccasions" card. Stay tuned and I'll post that one soon!

Merry Christmas Cardinal

So many of our Amuse Studio card stock colors are beautifully rich & elegant and perfect for holiday cards. On the card below I heat embossed the sentiment & branch with gold embossing powder and used the large scallop rectangle die to mat the image with Gold Shimmer card stock.

This is one of the cards we made in my Season's Sampler workshop back in August/September.  I love using the Christmas Joy & Cheer die set to create by trimming (or not trimming) the branches for whatever "feel" the project needs in this case a wintery day for the cardinals to enjoy.

Christmas Elegance Card Class

The three cards below were the projects for my Easy Elegant Christmas Cards class.  Amuse Studio's Christmas Joy & Cheer die set is so versatile, it includes a branch (with leaves on it) and three different birds. For the card below I trimmed off all the leaves from the branch and cut the cardinal from our Cherry felt.

I love the amber color variations/hightlights within several of our French Roast buttons.  And the Toffee Natural Twine gives just the right "natural" touch to this card which was inspired by Kristine Vicente.

This card got a lot of ooh's and ahhh's when displayed at my classes but the photo doesn't do it any justice. I stamped the Starry Night background with Versamark and embossed with Diamond EP...it's very twinkley in real life.

The currently popular chalkboard technique is simply Versamark heat embossed with white embossing powder on black cardstock.  You can add "eraser marks" by smudging a couple of spots with a light colored ink (such as Lemon Whip) with a sponge or pouncing our static magic in a few places as well.  However I decided to not add any smudges on this card because I sometimes like to wipe my slate clean - snort!

Pretty & Pink Christmas tree made by stamping tree with Blush ink then pouncing on Shimmer Chalk with a sponge dauber.  Quick and easy "wow"...the shimmery wow part looks so much better IRL.

Brrrr!  Okay, living in Florida I have to use my imagination when it comes to being cold.  So I die cut my snowman coated him with Versamark and heat embossed with Diamond EP. The sentiment was heat embossed with white EP.  Love using our Navy polka dot cardstock for the "snowy" background.

Happy Haunting Graveyard

A couple of my ghosties with the mosties projects...I love Lime card stock but it's really hard to capture correctly in a photo.  The Booger Boos fry box is filled with...well...boogers candy of course!  Enjoy!
