Zentangle

This is my first (and possibly my last) attempt at Zentangle, yikes, this took a really long time BUT it was kind of fun!  I can see how it may become addicting or at least something to do while talking on the phone ;o).  Below is the stamped image before and after I colored with Copic markers and then did my doodling using a Copic multiliner.  You can read more about Zentangle here: https://www.zentangle.com/

Hodgepodge Valentine

This is one of my "hodgepodge" cards which is basically just leftover pieces from other projects that were left on my desk.  I kind of like how it turned out and it's good timing for a Valentine card post. <3 Happy Valentine's Day!

Quick Tip Tutorial:  I punched the hearts out of real red cardstock then I colored them with copic markers and added some white dots and dashes for highlights.

all supplies are SU! except for the stitched circle is MFT and the black glitter washi tape is from M's.  Oh and copics markers.

PINK Snowman?!

I know that a pink (well technically a grapefruit) snowman isn't very traditional but I always do some kind of pink Christmas card every year so here the one for 2014.   If you want to see last years look here.

Cozy Back Snowman

I love this little "Cozy Back" snowman he's just so much fun to color!  And he makes a nice matching card to go with the Ferrero favor box in my previous post.

Cosmos, Sunflower or Black Eyed Susan?

I don't think the shape of the a muse studio cosmos paper flowers look as much like cosmos as they do either beach sunflowers or black eyed Susan's both of which are two of my favorite flowers.  Either way our paper flowers are super fun to customize because they all come in pure white and you can make them any color you want just by using Copic markers to color them with.  So how about purple buttercups or blue daisy's anyone?...Okay maybe today just yellow beach sunflowers. :o)

...or maybe I should say Sealed with a Turtle?  I made these cards for two dear friends who's summer birthdays are a day apart.  I couldn't decide which background color I liked better, which one do you like best Bermuda or Toffee?...

Sunflower Stalk

Sunflowers are my favorite flower and the new a muse studio sunflower stamp set and matching dies were at the top of my want list.  I used the 0.1mm Copic multiliner pen and hand drew straight lines for the stalk and colored everything with Copic markers. I die cut and colored two flowers but then cut individual petals out from just one of them and popped the petals (and the bottom leaves) up with 3-d foam which gives this card a lot of dimension.  The "hello" is from the new set Essential Sentiments Too which is a killer collection of sentiments for nearly every occasion, I can't tell you how many ties I've used this set already.

Shine Bright Sapphire

Here's another way to create gems from the new a muse studio Shine Bright stamp set. I just stamped the diamond with Memento black ink and colored it with Copic markers.  Then I used our glue pen just on the lines and sprinkled with diamond glitter.  Add a big Blueberry circle and sentiment and this card is done.

ROY G BIV a.k.a. Rainbow Colors

This effect was done using Copic markers and simply transitioning the colors using the "ROY G BIV" color sequence.  "ROY G BIV" is an acronym used for a specific sequence of hues commonly described as Rainbow colors: Red, Orange, Yellow, Green, Blue, Indigo. Color lesson for the day - lol.

Hugs & Kisses Candy Box

Red, Black & White are standard Valentine colors but Valentine or not its one of my all-time favorite color combinations.  For the stripes on the bottom I just used a piece of our onyx treat bags cut to fit on the front of the box.  I colored the heart with Copics and hand drew the "patch" with the Copic blender pen.

Candy Cane Gift Card Insert

What a quick and easy way to make a sweet little something for someone using our Gift Card Insert die & Holiday Tags stamps set.  I colored the images with Copic markers...my most favoritest way to color!

Candy Corn Copic Kisses

I used Copic markers to color the candy corns but didn't do any shading this time...just one solid color of Y02 & Y38 Copics leaving the tops uncolored.  So easy with Copics to get nice even saturated color without any streaks.  Oh I did use a W2 for the gray shading underneath them.  Cut out and popped a couple up with 3-D foam.
