You're a Gem Diamond Tutorial

We had fun making our own personal diamonds in a class I had a couple weeks ago.  But no matter what I do I can't seem to get the new a muse studio color Violeta to look purple (the way it should look) on my monitor.  Does yours look purple or more blue?...
Okay well anyway below is a quick tutorial on how to make the diamond which by the way looks totally sparkly in real life.  

It's a little hard to tell in the photo but there is a "window" cut out of the front of the card and the diamond & polka dot paper are showing through from the inside.

• Stamp Stazon black onto clear window sheet 
• Turn it over to the back side and add a large pea size of Crystal Clear Glaze - spread with a toothpick
• Sprinkle on Diamond Glitter (or any color glitter for other gems), dump off excess 
• Mix glitter and glaze together with a toothpick then place a piece of plain white tissue paper on top and press down  
• Let dry completely then trim with scissor or use our new Diamond die cut
• Adhere with 3-D foam to your project

A little SPLASH of color!

A "little" splash of color yeah right, whoa is this ever a bright card even more so in real life if you can believe that!  I used an emboss resist technique with our Neon Splash to make this card...I think it turned out kind of cool :o) whadaya think?  I also used the neon splash to dye the Vanilla Silky Crush Ribbon to match.

The Perfect Blend

Well if you ask me combining anything with Halloween is "The Perfect Blend" and here I go again using a Halloween stamp on a non-Halloween card...the coffee steam is from the "Toil and Trouble" set...Mwaaaahahaaha.  I think I'm going to have to make this a "thing" to incorporate a Halloween set into other occasions cards.  So far I think I've posted ones for Christmas, Valentine's Day and now for an everyday thank you card...what's my next challenge...ah yes, Easter and I already have a couple of things in mind.  Stay tuned for more of my "all-occasions cards using Halloween stamp sets ideas".   Any ideas what to call it...Halloccasions perhaps??...snort!

Squeeze the Day with Gratitude

Squeeze the Day is such a cute stamp set with so many opportunities for fun variations (grapefruits, oranges, limes etc.) as well as many variations for different occasions (thank you, congrats, encouragement etc.).  To make the mini tri-fold card on the front: cut your Sugar card stock 7.5x2.5" and with the 7.5 at the top of your score board score at 2.5" and 5" and be sure to use your bone folder on the score lines to help the flaps to stay closed :o)...easy peasy lemon squeezy!

You're Too Kind

There are several different sentiments in the "You're Too Kind" stamp set and the bird image is just beautiful too (I used that on the inside).  For the card below I coupled the "you're too kind" sentiment with the "Making a Difference" flowers & leaves images (that set has some great sentiments too...also used on the inside). This card could easily become a get well or sympathy card just by changing the sentiment. Oh and I think it's neat how the Seattle Baker's Cording kind of picks up the amethyst color too what do you think?...

Happy Butterflies

This was one of if not the first card I made with my new Amuse|Studio supplies.  I was excited to find out that our chalk inks allow images to layer beautifully and the colors are just awesome!
