Fiesta Sunflowers

Quick technique: To achieve the two-toned sunflowers I used a sponge dauber and randomly sponged ink onto the stamp with the new a muse studio Fiesta colors Violeta and Hibiscus then just stamped onto white card stock.
The sentiment is heat embossed with our pearl embossing powder but it looks more silver in the photo.  Added some of our Heather Baker's Cording and frayed the ends.

Ink: Hibiscus, Violeta, Versamark

Cosmos, Sunflower or Black Eyed Susan?

I don't think the shape of the a muse studio cosmos paper flowers look as much like cosmos as they do either beach sunflowers or black eyed Susan's both of which are two of my favorite flowers.  Either way our paper flowers are super fun to customize because they all come in pure white and you can make them any color you want just by using Copic markers to color them with.  So how about purple buttercups or blue daisy's anyone?...Okay maybe today just yellow beach sunflowers. :o)
Oh yeah, I can't forget to mention the new a muse studio snap cards which are great to use as patterned paper too!

Stamps: Happy Birthday Inside & Out

Calendar Fun Birthday

Here's a happy birthday card I made for a friend of mine using the Calendar Fun stamp set and "happy" die.  I really like the Calendar Fun set, it has small images for several different occasions that can be used on their own or combined to make things like this birthday background.  I also like the set for "hallmarks/signature" on the back of my cards you pretty much have all occasions covered for any type of card.

Hark Stardust Angels

For this card I used the a muse studio stamp set "Hark" which is currently 40% off during the month of August for the "Everyday is a Holiday" sale.  If you love this set and haven't gotten it yet now's the time to snatch it up at a 40% savings.  But don't wait, the sale is limited to supplies on hand and once they are gone, they're gone for good.  I love this set, it's so versatile, you can use it for not only Christmas cards but also for get well, sympathy, support, birthday, thank you...almost any occasion.

Freddy the Bow Legged Frog

I would like to introduce you to Freddy the Bow Legged Frog!  He is the second of my original "critters" that I've made using the left over piece from the handle of the a muse studio Easter basket die.  And now with our new cutie dutie Mini Bow Die I put the two together and came up with my Bow Legged Frog Eeeeee!  You can see the first of my original Easter Basket critters here.
Freddy's "frog skin" was created with the bubbles stamp from the new (and also cutie dutie) a muse studio Sealed with a Fish stamp set.  Then I sponged around the edges with Fern ink, used our 1/2" circle punch and black pearls for his eyes and he was done.  Oh yeah I also used the handle of the basket upside down to draw his mouth.  I was so tickled when making Freddy because just like my spring chickens his personality emerged as I went along and when he was completed he made me laugh out loud!  Ribbit, Ribbit :o)

Red, White & Azul

I needed a card for my niece who's birthday was on Flag Day so I put together our star die, candy stripe cards stock and new Azul card stock and came up with this patriotic card.  It must have been meant to be because when my hubby John came home from work that same day he asked me to make a welcome home card for an ARMY friend who is coming home from Afghanistan.  I just changed the sentiment to "Thank You" and it was done.

Beautiful Botanicals

This was one of the cards everyone made at my Amuse|Studio launch party in July.  It makes a nice unisex birthday card which can sometimes be hard to achieve.  I find that cards are typically either more masculine or more feminine so the versatility of this one comes in handy.
